Apple iPhone 5s vs Samsung Galaxy Note 3

As technology keeps evolving the cell phone spotlight is changing continuously. That is exactly the case between the iPhone 5s and the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. That is why I would like to take the time to dissect each smartphone and bring everyone reviews that will help as the holiday season is approaching fast. The designs are nothing really new and make it hard to distinguish from previous models. The note 3 still has the plastic feel leaving the feel of the phone less quality. While the iPhone 5s maintains its glass and premium quality feel.
The size of the phones need not a comparison as the iPhone remains 4inches for the display leaving it the smaller of the two phones and does not weigh down the pockets of consumers. The note has a larger display coming in at 5.7 inches.

Wall Street Journal Changes the story about Apple iPhone 5c production cuts

The story that emerged from the Wall Street Journal On Wednesday, I passed along a story about the production cuts of the new colorful iPhone c. The story was that Apple had cut the orders of the iPhone 5c and increased orders of the new iPhone 5s. Now the Wall Street Journal has mentioned that the lowering of the cost of the iPhone 5c was not a very good idea. Although, mentioning that the phone is not selling as well as initially thought and is very expensive. The iPhone 4s still is remaining a better option. As stated by Wall Street Journal ""the fact that the 5C appears to have missed Apple's expectations may not be all bad, especially if it means consumers are buying more of the 5S, the higher-end iPhone that came out at the same time last month and sells for $100 more." The Wall Street Journal is now back tracking in regards to it's statement about the cuts. As they stated ""reduced orders could indicate weak demand, or could signal that Apple wanted to ensure adequate supply of the 5C so that potential buyers, who were more likely to be switching from competing phones, didn't have to walk out of a store empty-handed."

The Apple iPhone 5c actually sold well in September

IPhone 5s

iPhone 5s

This iPhone is a great new turn around for iPhone. However it still looks the same as the iPhone 5. With the scan ID to unlock the phone it raises eyebrows of security concern. However, Apple ensures us that the fingerprints encrypt as digital signatures and are not stored anywhere. Not even in iCloud. As the specifications include the following:

  • 4-inch Retina display
  • A7 chip with M7 motion coprocessor
  • Touch ID fingerprint sensor
  • New 8MP i Sight camera with True Tone flash
  • 1080p HD video recording
  • Face-time HD camera

  •   Pro's

    • Powerful  dual core with A7 chip with M7 motion coprocessor
    • Scan touch ID fingerprint sensor
    •  camera quality with true tone flash

    Con's

    • Very expensive
    • battery life is horrible

    IPhone 5c

     iPhone 5C

The innovative colorful iPhone that has emerged from the traditional black and white that the iPhone has brought to light. This phone comes in a variety of colors and has many features. It also returns us back to the plastic body for phone which gives the quality of the phone a not so quality feel. This making it sightly more affordable for the everyday consumer. However, the price remains high as it is a Apple product.

    Pro's

    • Colorful options
    • Smooth OS
    • Decent battery life

    Cons

    • Still high cost
    • Does not feel high quality
    • Very similar to iPhone 5

  • Face Time HD camera

  • 8MP iSight camera
  • 1080p HD video recording

  • A6 chip

  •  4-inch Retina display
  • As stated by techradar(2013) "
There are even more similarities with the iPhone 5, as you'll find the same A6 processor, 8MP rear camera, 1.9 MP front camera, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 in the 5C.
The iPhone 5C is 4G enabled of course, but more supports even more bands meaning it'll work even more networks around the world - Apple claims the 5C and the 5S support the widest range of 4G bands out of any smartphone currently on the market.
So what have we got so far then? Well, the iPhone 5C is a slightly overweight iPhone 5 with a plastic body, larger battery and a slightly lower price tag. If anything it looks to be a bit of a hard sell on paper - but with iOS 7 on board, there's a litany of places where it might it might excel."

    NEWSFLASH FOR CONSUMERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

However, just released this week Apple has made an announcement that they are As stated by
"cutting its orders for the iPhone 5c ahead of the fourth quarter, a new report from the Wall Street Journal claims. Citing people familiar with the situation, the WSJ says that Apple asked its two iPhone assembly partners Pegatron and Hon Hai to reduce the volume of orders for it lower-cost smartphone going into the end of the year, by under 20 percent and around one-third respectively.
The iPhone 5c reduction also comes alongside an iPhone 5s production increase, however, according to two Hon Hai executives speaking to the WSJ. Apple saw much higher than anticipated demand for the new gold-colored version especially, the report says, leading to an uptick in volume output for those devices. Still, the cuts for iPhone 5c orders seem to also include a 50 percent decrease in parts from at least one supplier, indicating Apple is possibly preparing to reduce volumes even further.
The new information from the Wall Street Journal backs up claims made earlier this week from analyst firm Consumer Intelligence Research Partners, which said that the iPHone 5s was outselling the iPhone 5c by a ratio of two to one. That also lines up with the live data being tracked by mobile analytics firm Mixpanel, which sees iPhone 5s adoption at just over double that of the iPhone 5c, a little over a month after launch." After selling about 9 million iPhone's in a weekend launch this brings disturbing news to consumers.
